This set of models is based on the Hong Kong Fire Service Department's Airport Rescue Catamarans CB1 & CB2, built by Green Bay Marine Singapore, and the Hong Kong Custom & Excise Department's patrol launches CE8 & CE9 built by Wang Tak Engineering & Shipbuilding.

The models are marked on the underside with the Tri-ang Minic logo, the model number, and the description "Rescue Catamaran" and "Revenue Cutter" respectively.
