This set of models is based on the Hong Kong Fire Service Department's Fire Boat "Elite", built by Wang Tak Engineering & Shipbuilding, and the Hong Kong Police Force's patrol launches built by Cheoy Lee Shipyards and Chung Wah Shipbuilding & Engineering.

The models are marked on the underside with the Tri-ang Minic logo, the model number, and the description "Fire Boat" and "Police Launch" respectively.
