M 880* - Helicopters

The helicopters are in fact M 880 whales with rotors from the M 783 - M876 County Class Destroyers attached to the top with a brass pin.

These are probably the rarest of the "Harbour" accessories which were made specially to accompany the "Commando Carrier".

The "Commando Carrier" is believed to have been made exclusively for presentation to the Captain and crew of HMS Albion however the 1965 Price List does list both the helicopters and the "Commando Carrier" for sale.
