M 880* - Helicopters

The helicopters are in fact M 880 whales with rotors from the M 783 - M876 County Class Destroyers attached to the top with a brass pin and were available in both a cream colour and camouflage finish.

These are probably the rarest of the "Harbour" accessories which were presumably made especially to accompany the "Commando Carrier".

The "Commando Carrier" is believed to have been made exclusively for presentation to the Captain and crew of HMS Albion however the 1965 Price List does list both the helicopters and the "Commando Carrier" for sale.
